What does disabling the DISA valve do? i havent done it yet since i've done my turbo install but what it's do that requires me to disable it for FI

OT but can you please post pictures of your turboed M42 please? I'd like to see it as I'm in process of building turbo kit for my M42, :buttrock.

i'll try to get some pix for u when the weather isnt so s***ty.

It changes the the intake runners from long to short once it revs past 4500 RPM's for more high end TQ.
Do not think you'd have to bother disabeling it unless you plan on using another intake manifold. Under FI it'll be pressurised regardless of which runners are being used. However un plugging it or removing it will throw a CEL.
So need ECU tuning to not get this to happen, Just leave it. Or tie wrap it up somewere out of the way if you do use another intake manifold.
