Has anyone ever told you about the online parts database (www.realoem.com)? All you'd have to do is enter the BMW part number and you'd be directed to a diagram and part nbr index that would contain that info.

Here' is some info from Realoem.com that I found when I did a generic search by part nbr...I noted that you have an e28 M5 listed..but that model isn't listed for use for that part nbr: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/partxref.do?part=34211157925&showus=on&showeur=&series=E28

Use Real OEM, just as Qsilver7 said. It is exactly like the ETK program that is used at dealerships and few independent shops.
