Does anyone know if wheels on an E36 will fit on the E30 m3? Is there a thread or chart that shows what will or will not work? THanks

View Full Version : E30 M3 wheel fitments? m32 02-11-2007, 07:42 PM Does anyone know if wheels on an E36 will fit on the E30 m3? Is there a thread or chart that shows what will or will not work? THanks Edwin drmattyg 02-11-2007, 09:03 PM They will...spacers needed. jdbunda 02-11-2007, 09:12 PM I don't know of any chart or thread that shows. For 8" wheel though, you want an effective offset of 17-22mm, call it 20mm. E38 fitment wheels are generally 8" with ET37 or so. So a 15-18mm spacer is just what you need (with corresponding longer lug bolts). Just as an aside, the spacer is really only needed on the front, unless you want to keep the track the same front and rear. But you have lots of flexibility and room on the rear and E36 wheels and big tires will fit there even without spacers. m32 02-12-2007, 01:20 AM Thanks for your info! I notice you have style 5's on your car. I read that you need spacers in the front right? I'm also looking to pick up a set of wheels that were made for an E36 M3. Will those fit any better? Edwin |
