Not interested in parting anything at the moment, though it might happen if I can't move this in the next couple of weeks. Car is located in Spokane, Washington (260 miles East of Seattle) Here is my copy and pasted from craigslist.com AD.
Engine/tranny/diff are fine and it runs fairly decent other then a high idle and other problems listed below. It DOES NOT run at the current moment because I backed into a parking spot and REBAR punctured the gas tank (170 for a replacement the same size from jcwhitney.com and about 2 hours of labor at Euro Autohaus). I'm just looking to get rid of this thing. It's probably worth more in parts because of how rare this car is and how in need some of these parts are for BMW Enthusiasts. I'd rather not part it out and just sell it as a whole car as I don't have the time and space to do it (apartment living sucks).
I picked this thing up in November 2006 and drove it daily about 5 miles to and from work without any problems. It was a tank in the snow with a couple of sand bags in the trunk. Tires are all-seaon and still in decent shape. When braking at higher speeds (50+mph) the steering wheel shakes and the brake lining light has been on since I bought it. Heat only works when the car is moving. I suspect the blower motor is going out. Doors do not lock properly. Speedo stoppped working THE DAY I picked it up in Seattle. Mileage I would guess is somewhere around 241k (speedo reads 239k). Coolant light comes up at startup but turns off about 5 minutes later. Exhaust tips have hole's in them and are rusting. No rust signs on the body except on dent in rear passenger quarter panel oitherwise body is pretty straight considering it's 24 years old. Door panels are in bad shape as is the drivers seat and rear passenger seat. No radio or speakers.
Basically I would say this car is good for only daily driving or for the BMW "Shark" Enthusiast who wants a restore job.
