I want to spruce up the interior. Although the existing stock mats are in good shape, they don't have any character and I find the driver's mat slips towards the gas pedal although it has velcro strips that do an OK job.
I want to put in something like Lloyd's mats, which have a distinctive but not overpowering logo, and are close to stock in color, but perhaps higher quality.
Can anyone post shots of their aftermarket mats, or anything for black interior? Who are the good vendors to buy these from and are there any deals out there for these?

I love my oem bmw rubber mats. They don't slide and they protect the carpet better then anything I've ever used.

+1 :)

I was originally worried black mats over gray interior would look funny, but I am very happy with the color contrast, and the mats are holding up very well after several years. They use the fasteners (not the velcro) like the OEM carpet mats and hold in place very well.

Sharp looking! What brand and cost?

They are BMW from the dealer.

I don't recall exactly, but about the same price as the carpet ones, I think.

My car with gray interior came with a set of black floor mats. I guess the original gray ones were trashed. Anyway, it doesn't look that bad and the black hides the heel marks that start to show up on all my cars because I wear boots with black rubber soles on them. I'm still going to replace them with gray ones once my DIY list gets down to a manageable (read dollar signs) size. I like the berber mats sold by Bavarian Autosport, the Ultimate mats look nice too.

Here are some shots of my car's interior:

They are OEM winter mats, my vehicle came with both sets, black carpet and black rubber. I ordered a set of dinan and pick them up this week, soon as i get i'll post some pics.

I have these, they cost $60 for the front and $30 for the rear, from the dealer. Well worth it too, IMO they are much better then any aftermarket ones I tried. I also went with the custom trunk liner for $70, it has really helped protect things back there.

if you're not committed to carpeted mats...I'm in the camp for the BMW rubber mats...like Wong stated...my rubber mats have been holding up extremely well...plus they are super easy to keep clean.

I have gray interior like Wong...so showing you pics of my car would be redundant. My bro-in-law saw my mats and wanted them for his 97 740iL. He has the tan interior...so here's what the BMw rubber mats look like with a tan interior...you can also see how the rubber mats anchor down into the floor...so they are always stable and never slip up under the accelerator or under the seats. They also hold a lot of melted snow (if you live in snow country)...my carpets have never gotten wet because the rubber mats fit every contour of the floor pan...the grooves & design of the mats can hold a lot of runoff.

I'd like to see the Dinan jpegs and Ultimate mats, if those are really Lloyd's.
I'd like a plush set with a tasteful logo, not sure if Dinan would work for my stock car. The rubber ones look great and functional, but here in SoCal, people would think I'm nuts and it wouldn't be the right fit.
Somebody post some shots of black aftermarket carpet floor mats??

I just order the Berber mats from Bavarian Auto with the model number monograms. I wanted something a little tougher than the regular mats, but didn't want to go with rubber.

www dot bavauto dot com

On the website, just click interiors and then floormats if you're interested in seeing what they look like. I don't have pics yet, because I just ordered them a couple of days ago.

For those of you that use the rubber mats... do the they gas off and make your car smell like a rubber factory?

I love the rubber-factory smell!

My wife often buys rubber-factory scented candles for our house.

Maybe for the first couple days... otherwise, not at all.

Ditto M.Wong ...the "rubber" smell only last for a little while...like many "new" items can do...but then disappears.

I had to revive an old thread for the not-as-initiated!

GGBailey (dot-com) has the OE material and shape of the normal dealer floormats. The added benefit is the color combos are customizable! I have the complete set (including trunk mat) in my 740i..creme with dark blue serging. It looks extremely tasteful!

They just don't provide the logo due to licensing restrictions.

I would like some floor mats with the BMW roundel logo on them. Does anyone know where to get these, or if the even exist?
ThanX
