I had the good fortune to attend the M School this week, and had a number of sessions in the M Coupe. Although all exercises were in 2nd gear, I did shift from 1st thru 3rd in transit to the various venues. It was my impression that the shifting is not as crisp as in the Z3 MC. Has this been addressed by others? Other than that, my impression was that this will be my next car. :buttrock I've heard some complain about visibility, and this is true if you turn your head to the rear instead of using the mirrors; using the mirrors visibility is quite OK. However, my corgi will not be able to ride in this car unless he figures out how to use the front seat. :) :)

Alot of folks claim that the modified CDV fixes the shifting problems you observed. Why won't your corgi be able to ride in the back? Mine is ok with it (yes, I have a corgi too :) )

I thought it might be claustrophobic. He does love to ride in the 49 Cadillac, though.

I suggest sooner, once done you'll wonder why you waited at all.

My corgi is happy as long as there is a window to look out of - being in the back of the coupe is kind of like "corgi under glass" :) . Nice pic of your doggie - I'll try to post one of mine in the Coupe sometime.

Talk about parallels: I used to drive a '60 Coupe De Ville too.

Please do. My dad had a 60 Sedan De Ville. The 49 was his first, purchased new, and we traded it back and forth for about 35 years. A couple of years ago I had a professional install rack and pinion power steering, power front disk brakes, electronic ignition, and a 12volt harness. My wife says it's like riding in a piece of art. Next major project is a new paint job.
