Whats going on guys! im new to the forums and i dont know much about the bmw's so i figured i would ask. I have a 99 'e36 m3 convertible. I took the money that i had saving up for wheels and decided to buy performance mods. So far I have the M50 intake manifold and next week i plan on ordering the KO performance M50 conversion kit, JC Shark Injector and also the UUC pulleys. Do you guys think i will notice a significant gain from these mods? Does anyone also have them? Thanks guys :)!

you will notice somthing will be diffrent. you're eyeballs wont be in the back of your head. though. I heve heard that people with m50 manifolds notice an increse in top end power but sacrifice bottom end, I have a shark injector and I noticed a diffrence with that,

Ummm.. yeah you're going to notice. Maybe its me but Im really in tune with my car. When something is weird, I sense it immediately. I can feel a horsepower gain from a good oil change. I can feel when it starts up on perfect stroke. Shark + m50 mani +pulleys will give you some oomph for sure. You'd be better off doing 21# pink injectors from an s50 + sharkie + manifold. Or even headers or something. Just make sure you do enough mods to make use of a m50 manifold. Taking in more air through the manifold means you need a good intake system and good exhaust system to feel the full effect along with tuning and fuel.

I get being in tune with your car. Sometimes I think ignorant bliss would be better. My wife would be a rich woman if she had a buck for everytime I said "shhhhh, whats that noise?"~or "did you feel that?"~ its like my ass is so sensitive it can feel a bolt coming loose in the trunk.
If you want to really take advantage of the M50 mani, puts 6lbs of boost into it.:D
Posting in the e36 M3 section will probably yield more responses.

IMHO, screw the AA exhaust. Find a reputable exhaust shop in your area, and have them build you an exhaust. It should cost the same, if not less, and you'll be happier with an exhaust YOU helped them design, rather than the same ole crap every one else bolts on.
I just built a 2 to 1 exhaust collector going from the pipes directly off the manifolds, to a single 3" collector. From there I will run 3" pipe back to a 3" in/ 3" oval tip out muffler as bendless as possible. With this setup, you're gaining (negligible) power from the exhaust, and then I'm already half-set for my exhaust system when I go turbo.
To sum it all up, go with what will make you happy, but first make a game plan for your car. I.E. don't put an AA exhaust if you're planning on doing a custom turbo exhaust later.
Best of luck man...
Oh, and if that's your car in your sig, lose the ///M in the grill. You'll feel a power gain instantly. :confused
