View Full Version : Mini updating.... onasled 02-10-2007, 04:45 PM Still a long way to go. Test fitting the helm. http://members.tripod.com/ghmyc_1m/mini_helm1.jpg Steve J. 02-10-2007, 04:48 PM Cool. Do you have a closeup picture of the pedals? Also, I see woodward steering supports, but I don't see a collapsible column on that side of of the firewall, is there a collapsible joint on the engine side? I guess if it was pushed back it would just bend at the ujoint, I guess you don't need a collapsible shaft with that configuration since you are that far back from the firewall. Whats the measurement from the steering wheel to the shaft support? What did you need the steering hub extender for? I just noticed the ujoint in the steering before the firewall, I was confused before, nice. How is the seat tied into the chassis? Its definitely coming along :) onasled 02-10-2007, 05:03 PM Steve, a few more pics. I'll post some more in a bit. Seat frame is tieed into the cage in three out of the four points. Set up for a 7 point harness. You can kinda see it here http://members.tripod.com/ghmyc_1m/minitopview1.jpg http://members.tripod.com/ghmyc_1m/mini_pedels1.jpg http://members.tripod.com/ghmyc_1m/mini_pedels2.jpg http://members.tripod.com/ghmyc_1m/mini_windownet1.jpg onasled 02-10-2007, 05:12 PM Cool..... Yea, there is a factory colapsable section just between the support and the firewall. Also the way the rack is set up it would just colapse under the car first. Whats the measurement from the steering wheel to the shaft support? Not absolutly sure, but about 7-8". What did you need the steering hub extender for? So when the wheel is removed I have easier exit and enter to the car. Being I like my wheel very close, I needed this. Though I can still get out easy with the wheel in place. I know they are identical to the Woodward, though I've never seen the woodward in person. http://members.tripod.com/ghmyc_1m/mini-helm2.jpg onasled 02-10-2007, 05:29 PM A better pic of seat frame http://ghmyc_1m.tripod.com/mini_roto25.jpg http://ghmyc_1m.tripod.com/mini_seat1.jpg |
