The registration site says this is sold out. Is that possible? I didn't know there was a cap. Anybody know for sure?

View Full Version : Lost Cause Rally Timsmith 02-09-2007, 10:42 PM The registration site says this is sold out. Is that possible? I didn't know there was a cap. Anybody know for sure? kaamacat 02-09-2007, 10:58 PM I heard that it was full-up with 39 cars........(I guess you could email Bruce and ask. I believe he's heading up way before the event) BobR atl530i 02-09-2007, 11:01 PM I made a thread about that and it did not get a lot of responses, lol. Primarily because of the Stone Mountain meet is on the same day. 39 cars is not a lot of cars though, lol. kaamacat 02-09-2007, 11:08 PM Good point. Wonder if its all in the fact that you have "X" cars leaveing in 1.5min intervals....etc, along with the mid-point stop....and the planned end time. (but I sucked at math :help ) atl530i 02-09-2007, 11:11 PM I was going to go there, but Stone Mountain is 3 miles down US78 for me. BruceH 02-09-2007, 11:27 PM It is sold out. We planned for 30 cars. We stretched to 39. The number is driven by the endpoint's ability to handle us without creating chaos. 39 cars is 80 people. 80 people showing up at a restuaurant at one time is a problem. The rally wasn't promoted as we knew it would sell out. I think we could draw double easily if we can end at a place that will handle the crowd. >>>edit-39 cars requires 40 minute to start from a lot. Watch for the next rally as it is going to have more TSD components. BruceH 02-09-2007, 11:32 PM One other thought; you can usually assume that for a Chapter event there is some cap or inventory. Timsmith 02-09-2007, 11:46 PM Thanks for the info Bruce. Too bad for us. We'll register earlier next time. Have fun! BruceH 02-09-2007, 11:48 PM Tim, We can fit one more in. You interested? If so email me and we make it work. B kaamacat 02-10-2007, 07:49 PM And here's to Reflexology and Aromatherapy! (What a fun day, great route, and good company!)
