View Full Version : Is there a way to use VIN number to learn options of car

I was wondering if there was a website, or service where I could go and plug in the VIN number from my car, and find out what factory options my car has. I've seen in the DIY links a way to break down the VIN into about 6-7 high level categories (where in Germany it was produced, with side airbags, color code, etc.). But I wanted to basically find an after-the fact window sticker for my car that tells me all of the little extras that came from the factory. Is this something that the dealer will do for people? curious
Just wondering if anyone has tried this and was successful in finding out some things about their car.

Thanx, Matt

If you post the last 7 digits of your VIN, someone with access to BMW's dealer system usually posts the results.

Awesome,
I'll try that later on this evening and plug back into this same thread. Thanx for the info.

Thanks for the info.
I certainly would appreciate any help. The last 7 digits of my VIN are GU01974. I'm really curious to find out.
