View Full Version : Alignment
egyptntree 02-08-2007, 01:20 PM Is there anyone in south florida that can do an alignment on a E46 M3. I want to pull just a touch of camber out of the rear so I can get a better contact patch. I know that bmw says it has to be weighed down and what not so I dont know if anyone can just do it.
bimmeracer3 02-08-2007, 04:44 PM the best place i know of in sfl is webber alignment. the only problem i would see for you is that it is located in wpb.
2WINBMW 02-16-2007, 09:13 PM how much to align a e34..thanks
belligerent 02-16-2007, 09:51 PM Be prepared to be charged up the a$$ at Webber .....
How does 195$ for a four wheel alignment sound. :confused and then they dont use a computer , they eyeball it with equipment... but everyone says there good .
everyone says they're the best , and they must be pretty good , alignments are just about all they do . They did ok for me but I thought I had gotten a better quicky alignment at the tires plus at Lantana and 441....and for 149$ you can get a lifetime alignment (3 yrs ) and take it back and to as many other tiresplus as you want. I havent paid for another alignment since . I got all new suspension , and CC plates and still take it back any time I wanna check up
but you have to get lucky with a TECH .... most are morons
But I feel i have also done some pretty good alignments on my ride my self, I like my personal alignments myself :redspot
hooRAH 02-19-2007, 02:00 PM I have a shop that I go to for tricky stuff thats located right next to Weber. They sent the car to weber for an alignment after they were done, but it was a bit off, so I took it back to them.
The people that work at Weber were some of the rudest and most inconsiderate people I've ever met. I don't care how good their work is (and it wasn't when it was done there), I won't go back with any of my cars.
As for aligning an E34, unless its an M5, the only adjustment is front toe. Yes, you should weight the car and all that, but with only a front toe adjustment, I think any shop with a computerized laser aligner can do a decent job.

The Alignment Factory, in kendall, right near AA
All they do is alignments, they'll do whatever setup you want. Really good guys, you need to call and make an appointment because they get pretty busy though. They charged me about $100
bimmeracer3 02-23-2007, 01:49 PM Check out my venting thread because of how negligent a shop was with my car.
I found a really good shop in palm beach. they did my alignment and rtabs in less than 2 hours. I dropped the car off went to school and when I came back my car was finished. if anyone wants to check them out, the name is A&J autocare located at 2354 N. Military Trail.

have you been to ernie bello's in wpb? He recently(6+months ago) got a new alignment machine that cost him an arm and a leg.
I go there all the time and always wonder if other people use him or what they think of his shop.
quattro PETE 02-23-2007, 02:44 PM I had good experience with AutoGlitz in Hollywood. They use the Hunter balancing and alignment equipment, and weigh down the car as well. Their normal alignment price is about $100. You can get a 10% discount using a coupon from TireRack. If you ask them for alignment specs that are outside of BMW's recommendations, they'll do it to, although they will try to charge you a little bit more for it.
bimmeracer3 02-23-2007, 02:45 PM nope, never been there. the only alignment shops i know are A&J, Webbers and Buck Alignment.
where is that shop located?

On Old Okeechobee road a block east of FL Mango. He used to refer people to Webbers until he bought his machine. He put in two sets of front and rear bushings (I tried delrins at first but too harsh)for me in the past year and a half also. Busy guy though, only him and 1.5 employees(one of them just started and is still green). He's great for tires, brakes, suspension stuff and general maintenance. I haven't had to use him for anything else yet.
hooRAH 02-23-2007, 04:21 PM Thanks for the recommendation. I might stop by and check them out.
