I have an 1980 633csi, the motor was rebuilt about 50,000miles ago. An old original Hardy and Beck.

There is a ticking sound even when the car is warm, so i'm thinking it may be a lifter.

What do you think?

How loud is the ticking? The injectors in these cars do make an audible ticking sound.

valve adjustment? ignition can by the problem.

Pretty normal for the big six to tick.
