why do most people with carbon hoods leave them unpainted?

isnt the idea to be as stealthy as possible, and hide the fact that you've stripped your car of some weight?


to me, the unpainted hood looks ricey and very honda. it screams out "i watched the fast and the furious about 14 times too many" AND, it will probably attract the attention of the law, along with whatever obligatory fart muffler the kids are running these days.

no offense intended, but i think doing these cars up as econobox wannabe jap racers does them no justice.

but, to each their own.

Yes you can. There are few people on the forum that have painted theirs to match the car, or did the stip of paint and left come CF show through.

yeah, it's easy... just has to be done correctly. a good scuffing and a top quality primer/sealer will make it work.
