Its usually starts friday at 8:00 i think. SDbboy 01-16-2003, 04:19 PM Lovely :) , now I gotta burn off a whole tank of fuel in less than 2 days. Brian fredo 01-16-2003, 04:23 PM i dont think 104 octane fuel is gonna do anything for you... i think there was a study and it was determined using anything higher than the recommended grade doesnt have much benefit.... if you have a highly tuned forced induction engine, a high octane fuel might be beneficial but might have little benefit on a stock engine... chunkyd 01-16-2003, 05:18 PM Really? I thought that whenever you can use a higher octane gas its for the better. I used 104 octane when i went out to ennis a while back and it seemed to improve throttle reponse and the engine ran smoother.. so it seemed ..it could have just been in my head. I dont think it would make much difference to try and put it in all the time but for a once in a while thing...it may be worth it?? Austin 01-17-2003, 12:12 AM You have been mislead into thinking that something higher than what is stated in your owners manual is better. http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/autos/octane.htm QuestMCoupe 01-17-2003, 03:14 AM I think higher octane is better since you see guys dyno with regular gas get a certain amount of HP and then they dyno with a mixture of race and regular and getter higher numbers...thats just me though. Ennis is the only place I know of too. I'll try it and verify for myself. Brian |
