alright i am going to be doing an engine swap in my E36 for a 4.0L or a 4.4L 540i engine with the 6 speed trans. i am trying to find someone who has done this swap before or knows alot about it. i am going to be doing all the work my self. i am a mechanic and do know what i am doing with cars but i would like some info on the swap. :help

Andreas from German AutoHaus in Melbourne did the swap to a 4.0L into his E36. Not sure of his email, but the shops website is www.gah.au.com and they should have some contact details there...
Theres 2 Andreas' though. Andreas D and Andreas G. I think you want Andreas G (Gernhart?).

yeah, you want Andreas G... he has the 340, but both Andreas' know the job.
