View Full Version : M44 Engine, auto harness, acc. brackets.
Bluebimma 02-05-2007, 01:27 PM I have a blown m44 engine with 199,871 miles on it. Havent opened it up yet, but when it blew, cylinder 3 plug was bashed and the vavle cover cracked open. After the engine blew, it was towed home and the engine was replaced with a newer m44 with less miles. I dont know the full extent of the damage so any questions aimed towards "whats wrong with it" most likely will have vague answers to them.
I also have an engine harness to an automatic 98 z3 and a few accessory brackets for the a/c. Will have pics later on tonight.
Serious inquiries on the engine and parts of the engine please. Way too cold outside to be taking apart an engine only to find out someone doesnt want it anymore. Lookin for 300-400 for the motor, 50 for the harness, and like 10-15 on the brackets. Engine is pickup only or shipped at buyers expense.
2002maniac 02-05-2007, 04:00 PM I need the rods if you part it out.
Bluebimma 02-05-2007, 04:02 PM Saw your post earlier today...if no one picks up the whole engine in about a week or so, consider them yours. Just shoot me a pm so i remember.

BimmerBoyZ3 02-08-2007, 05:36 PM I need the rods if you part it out.
Ive got a set of M44 rods at the house (still in the motor, just a matter of me pulling them) that I dont need. I sent you a PM. Lemme know if you want them.
Bluebimma 02-08-2007, 07:36 PM Thanks for the free bumps, pics to come....have been pretty busy and havent had a chance to get to my moms house and grab some pics.
kosta 02-08-2007, 07:38 PM you wouldnt happen to have the connector that plugs into the temp sender on the side of the block would you?
m44 uses 1 dual sender while m42 uses 2 singles
i'm trying to mod mine
Bluebimma 02-08-2007, 07:49 PM Are you talking about #7? If so, yes, i have that. Nuthing was takin out or off the motor, so if it was screwed in or bolted to it, it should still be there.

kosta 02-08-2007, 08:12 PM yes but the wire that clips to it as well
Bluebimma 02-08-2007, 08:22 PM Ah, so you need me to cut into the harness as well?
kosta 02-08-2007, 08:26 PM if your gonna sell the harness whole and its good, then i wouldnt want you to do that
but if its chopped then that's a different story
Bluebimma 02-09-2007, 08:40 AM The harness is still complete, it came off the new engine that i put in my Ti. Its for an auto, and i have manual, so i reused my engine harness.
