I just attened the philadelphia auto-show and saw the new hard-top vert. Their were representatives from WG and Otto BMW who advised me that pricing has not been set for it as of yet. Is this true. The car looks great, but I didn't get to witness it with the top down. It was broken...go figure !!!

That's not a very good sign if they couldn't even put the top down on the vert. Make you want to wait another year until they work the kinks out. My .02.

the pricing hasn't been release so they were correct... we don't have it. Apparently the top did malfunction on saturday. they did get it down, but it probably won't be put up. What they didn't mention is that this particular car is a pre-production model and was actually one of the test cars. the top system has since been refined a bit and the cars that are going to be coming over shortly will not have the same problem. I'm pretty sure they're going to have it fixed by this weekend when I'm working... but we'll see. I'll let you know anything I find out about it after I've gotten a chance to mess with it.

thanks theroyalwe, I just thougth it was strange because that was one of the cars I came to the show to see up in person. The black m6 vert looked really sweet, but I wished they had m5 on display, but i know most of the cars there are actually local dealer cars execpt the high-up ones and newly released ones. I might be back at the show this weekend. if I am in the area.

actually I think they all are dealer cars except the 3 convertible. the m6 is mine (ie my dealership - we actually have a hardtop here at the store too). I'm pretty excited to see the vert too. I actually just ordered one for a customer and I'm excited to see the first production models showing up in the next week or two. If you're there on saturday after 3 look for the tall guy... my name is Tom.

I think i seen you there this weekend. I was talking with one of the guys from Otto, a young gentlemen name doug. I will certainly look forward to meeting you. By chance did you check out Audi's R8 on the second floor. Drop dead beauty made of metal and carbon. I think that car stole the show. Besides the audi and the m6 the show was a disappointment. The chevy camero concept was a sore to the eye. Can't wait for Geneva show..M3 finally debuts so that should be promising.

I'm going to go on wed. (my day off) and check out the entire show when I'm not dressed up. I'll be sure to check out that R8. I think they put the lamborghini gallardo motor in there... I am also looking forward to the chicago debut of the alpina b7. we have one allocation here and I can't wait to see it once it's done!
