Try the regional forum here or the one in DTM. The latter is actually quite active.

i am needing some info on what i would need to mod in terms on engine bay. do i really need to do a stand alone fuel management system (i really don't want to do one). what would be a better engine for the swap?. probably just some little things or some tricks that i should know about for the swap. i am wanting to eather put in the 4.4L or the 4.0L with the 6-speed tranney in my 92 325i 4 door with an auto trans.

Good point. There will probably be quite a few differences considering we drive Euro cars, and RHD ones too....

If he is doing a 340 conversion, its going to be fairly similar irrespective to whether its an LHD or RHD setup.

Crossmember, mounts, swaybars, sump and most other major mechanical issues would be faily similar I imagine. Besides, some help is better than no help!!

Yes, but i was thinking more abouts clearances with steering rack and different positioning of things within the engine bay. No doubt the engines are the same.

Yeah Mr Mechanic, but at the end of the day, clearances from steering rack is one of many problems to be tackled, so why not get some info and dirt on the rest of the problems? Doesn't make sense? All irish logic to you isn't it... Bloody birthday boy... age is getting to you...
