Going to Tahoe soon and would like to take my car. I have the 17x8 rims for '02. Will the chains have enough clearance? If so, can I use any brand that fits. Can't wait to carve the slopes and the twisty two lanes.

View Full Version : Can I put chains on a 325i sport package? Calvin 01-16-2003, 12:39 AM Going to Tahoe soon and would like to take my car. I have the 17x8 rims for '02. If your wheels are stock, then I would expect that you would have enough room for chains. There does seem to be more room for wheels and tires on the E46. If you are not stock, then you might want to put the stock wheels and tires on for going up to the snow. Be careful up there, and have fun! Deutscher Konnt 01-18-2003, 02:14 PM I've heard that on most BMW, chains work the best on stocks wheels 15-17 inches for E36s...whch is why its always a good idea to keep your stock rims around with some winter tires mounted after upgrading to larger rims. Calvin 01-19-2003, 08:14 PM I am running the stock rims that are 17x8 on the sport package. Has anyone with the 325 sport package successfully ran chains? And what type did you use? |
