I was wondering if anybody knows if the six disc cd changer from the E46 models will work in the new E90's?

I asked BMW and they said no....just like how they said the tires from E46 are not compatible with E90 (contrary to the info provided by tirerack and several other tire dealerships I've called).

I'm getting the Ipod kit but if I can keep my old six disc changer, why not? Thanks for the help!

AFAIK the iPod kit cannot be used in combination with the CD Changer b/c the iPod kit connects to the "head unit" through the CD Changer port. So it would be a moot point regardless of whether the E46 changer is compatible with the E90.

Correct - the CD Changers are MOST-compliant, not ibus.
