Im not sure if my e46 sedan has a factory amp or if it runs straight off the radio? If my bimmer has an amp where is it located? I checked the trunk and I used the forum search engine and have had no luck.

the slaeman said it was a 10 speaker alpine system? doesnt sound like an alpine? I have a 3251 with premium package single in dash cd.

Yes if you have a standard or HK North American built car you have an amp. The Euro cars that have a 6 speaker setup do not have amps and are run off of the headunit. Hope this helps

Stock amp is located underneath the rack here against the vehicle body:
