The sticker is right. I recently purchased a 07 550i 6 speed manual. I have limited seat time but I was curious about gas mileage. The trip computer showed 18 mpg around town, but the calcualtor at the pump gave me 15 (exactly what sticker states). On the highway, computer showed 26.1, but allowing for the 3 mpg error I found around town, now equals 23 mpg (same as sticker).

I am now curious. Those of you with the 550i, what is your experience?

I've got the automatic - my sticker shows estimated 17 around town. I'm running in the 18s pretty consistently according to the trip computer; hearing what you had to say, I'll have to check it against actual to be sure. I did do that recently on a trip and did find I was running in the 24 - 25 range actual (running right at 80). I'll let you know what I find when I run the in town actual numbers...

on the older OBCs you can actually "tune" the mileage calculations... I assume you still can.
