so yesterday i was listening to my music at regular level, when all of the sudden everything cuts out except for my subs. im like wtf, then dont worry about it.. about a minute later it cuts out again and then i hear a crackling sound (the noise a "hot" wire gets when it touches something when it arcs) and my head unit completely turns off... ive checked everything:mad... and nothing seems to be fixing it.. i have even changed head units and still nothing... the crackling noise came from rignt by my steering column. any ideas what might be the problem??? its an 87 325es. thanks alot guys
