Think she'll be ok with the front two wheels on a tow dolly, rear on the ground with the trans in neutral of course, from northern Va. to Orlando, Fla?

We talking 5spd or auto? Cause it's a bad bad idea to tow a slushbox e28 with the rear tires on the ground.

Moving to Orlando? Look up the Bimmer Place in Winter Park if you need an indy there. Josh knows E28s well.

I wouldn't. rear tire will be camber fucked. wearing inside of tires FTL. Mechanicly, yes. But the tire wear, yes it was noticable for me just going from ashland, to portland with the e28 m5. Restoration was a bitch...as far as transportation goes. Had to find cheap ways to do it. ended up being better just to drive the thing once I got her going.

Well there you go...it's the best and the most FUN way to get it there!!

One of the supporting vendors of this forum has pretty decent rates advertised for cross country. Though I haven't seen rates for shorter distances, they may have a bimmerforums member discount, and their trucks carry the full load, either in multi-car double platforms, or boxed in (I don't recall).
