I am mounting a E36 M3 servo steering, in my E30 with a S50 motor in it..
I had a local hydraulic company to press banjo`s on normal hydraulic hoses, to use instead of all the three hoses...
But now someone mentioned a restrictor in some of the steering-hydraulic hoses, wich i dont have......
Do i need this, or can i just go with the "open" hoses i already have mounted..?

I have the Zionsville Motorsports video that shows this conversion. Their video does not reference any restrictor, but it might have been buried in the Power steering hose that they sell.
I'll find out in a few weeks when I finish my Z3-rack-in-a-E30 project.

i know theres a restrictor in the low pressure line that goes into the bottom of the PS resivor but other than that im not sure... and i dont believe that restrictor is 100% necessary because some people have left it out when fixing PS hoses...
Ok then, i`ll just try it like this..
Wasnt too sure about the connections on the pump and rack though.. ETK said 14mm banjos on the pressure hose, so i went for that solution, even though the drawing/picture did not show the connections at the same spot as on my car..
But since ETK had a 14mm banjo part nr on each end, i guess this is what i shoul go for... Or...? hehe The two hoses from the oil-tank, had 16mm banjos..
