New to the N.O. Bimmer world. Picked up my 325iC late last fall. She is in the garage right now riding out the long nasty Cleveland winter, but when things warm up she'll be out cruising around.

To bad I have a convertible. I'd love to hit the mid-Ohio track days, but you know those rules they have against convertibles.

And you are right - no verts at the schools, but if you have another car (non-bmw) that is trackworthy, you can bring that instead. Sombody last year brought a Saturn Wagon.....

I live in the SE suburb of Bedford. I joined BMWCCA this fall too.

Are you guys aware that you get a discount of 15% off parts Dave Walter BMW in Akron? Solon BMW only gives you 10%.

I'm thinking of doing the driving schools maybe with my daily driver, a 96 Camry Coupe, 5 speed. Not the same as driving my 325iC, but at least I can learn some good driving skills.

I'd love to do some drives during the summer. I will check out the schedule next month.

I'm a big fan of BMW Cleveland....I drive from Bay Village, right past Ganley, to get the warranty work done. They give me 15% off, just talk to John at the parts counter, and ask him if he can help ya out. The parts, sales and service there have never been anything but good to us.

By the way, the president of the local BMWCCA, Harvey Rodgers, is a mechanic at Dave Walther. He is a class dude!

I maybe would take the car to Walther, but the drive to Solon is already too far!

And then when i finaly do get some help after wondering around for a half hour...they come and see my ride and almost shit themselves...lol... anywase

topazbimma, why don't you really tell us how you feel about BMW Cleveland. I don't think it was clear, if you don't like them, or really really don't like them.:laugh

I know exactly where Maple Hts is. I grew up in Garfield Hts, went off to college, and bought my first place in Bedford with my wife when I returned.

I am familar where Bainbridge is. I went to a party out there once at one of the partners' house in the management consulting firm I work for.

BMW Cleveland has been fine for me everytime I was there, but the bulk of the stuff I've needed, I ordered from Bav Auto. Maybe you'd have better luck if you asked for John at the parts counter as jback suggested.

I know where Bedford is at least :) I just turned up a frame relay connection tonight between Honda Northwest (motorcycle dealership in Columbus) and Cleveland Akron Honda (motorcycle dealership in Bedford/Oakwood). I'm their IT department :D

bimmer95 would you happen to take a shadow-er for a day or 2? my cisco class is screening for next year's students on the 28th and 29th of this month so they're booting us out and i need to shadow somebody. (and i just started searching today)

I don't know if I'd be a good one to shadow, I work from home and my current project is to go through endless log files and tune a crap load of extended access-lists as part of an on going security clean up :az:

BMW Cleveland has been good to me. I bought my car there used, and they've repaired several minor things without charging me. I was just there the other day with a taillight failure message and they popped a new bulb in and I was out of there in 2 minutes. Other times when I've had to leave the car for the day they gave me a free loaner. I'm real happy with them, and its nice that I live in Solon about 5 minutes away.

We used to roll up there every week in a couple of my buddies supped up old truck hot rods...there sweet...!!!!

And guys...i sorta got suspended from college for a quarter...for some stupid shit...well anywase ill be here back home that is till about mid march...anything does on during that time let me know...id be glad to hit up some events!!!!
