Hi,,,

I have got a 1997 323 ti compact. The car is a euro model and i have the car in spain. I am putting Koni SA shocks on there but i am having a very difficult time finding springs to go with it. I orginaly wanted to go with Eibach pro kit springs but seems like they dont make any more springs for ti models.

so does anyone know what springs of equal or similar specs (quality) to the Eibachs exist...basically what sport springs are avaialble for my car?

Thank you,,,any and all comments or further questions are welcome.

cheers,
Bob

Ive got mismatched setups. Seems to ride ok and it aligns well. No one shows love for the hatchback goodness known has Ti!

Thanks for the posts!! I will consider the bavauto springs but not purchased anything yet. I found a UK distributer who might have some eibach springs still for sale, waiting for a reply from them.
In any case i will post my final setup and let you know how it goes.

Still, any further suggestions are very appreciated.

cheers,
Bob

I will will be looking at the H&R springs, but the problem is also that you are running a 318 ti which has the 4 cylndr, i got a I6 so there is more weight up front, so a full 318 ti kit will be a bit mismatched.

does anyone have a 1997 323 ti?

hi 3DGE95Ti,,,not positive if they are stock or not, it is very difficult to find out what original options were for these models, mine was originaly purchased in germany, then sold in spain, now i am the 3rd owner, the rims were on there when i got it...the entire appearance except for the tint is how i bought it.

any information on this model 1997 323 ti (e36) compact is greatly appreciated. I imagine that i will need to get this info from germany, but i dont speak german...so been shying away for a while doing that.

My immediate query is springs, so anyone here internationaly (outside USA) would love to hear from you.

cheers,
Bob

Forget all that noise. I'm running a set of H&R Race Rprings from a Z3 roadster 4cyl on my 97 318ti Sport. They are even more aggressive than the H&R Race Springs for the 318ti! I bought a set here on Bf.c for $80 and they fit perfect. The H&R's for the 318ti only lower the rear about 1.5" while the H&R's for the Z3 lower it about 2". Front is about the same at 2.5". I was going to fork out the cash for a set of Bilstein Sports or Tokicos but I'm thinking of buying a set of Sachs or Monroes or Gabriels for a Z3 because I think the spring perches are about an inch lower which would slam my Ti. Not to mention that they cost about half as much as Bilsteins, Konis or Tokicos. I checked realoem.com and they seem to be compatable since the kingpins(mounting brackets) are the same part#. You should try a set of H&R's for the Z3 6cyl.

Not everything will work, but alot of parts are interchangable. I just cross checked part#'s at www.realoem.com (http://www.realoem.com) and to verify that the struts will work, I'm going to compare them at my local autoparts store. The mounting brackets or (kingpins) are are the same which would lead me to believe that the struts should bolt right up. The springs fit great and the ride feels perfect.
