Time to let her go. The car has spent about 95% of its life in the garage until recently when I got to many projects going and had to bump it out. The paint is in awsome condition, I had the hood and front bumper painted to remove stone chips. I am located in Dayton Ohio. The car runs and drives like new.

119,000 miles. The motor is stock and has never had any issues. I change the oil every 3k using Mobil 1 synthetic. The car is in great condition, the drivers seat has tears in the bolster from the previous owner. He claimed he always forgot to take some belt clip off that he wore. This is one of the cleanest you will find. This car was built in Germany to US specs. The 1st owner had it built for him while he was there and brought it back when he got transfered, I am the second owner.

Upgrades.
Koni adjustable shocks
Vogt lowering springs
Spoiler from Germany- I paid $1050 + shipping.
18X9.5 Rear and 18X8.5 front Beyern rims with Toyo's

$13,000 OBO. Best deal you'll find on one of the best/rarest colors.

Isn't that a late 98 model, I see the rear head rest but the 3 spoke steering wheel is missing???
nice car.

blacksi
02-03-2007, 06:34 PM
Dunno, I didn't know there was a steering wheel difference, did they change in 99 or something?

Hobo, I'll keep ya in mind but I don't think I'll be going that low. That is actually what the stealer was gonna give me for a trade in.

98.5 got rear head rest, side airbags in the doors, and the 3 spoke steering wheel standard. Check your date of production on the door plate but either someone stole the steering wheel or they added the other 2 items. I doubt someone would add the other 2.

Not sure why you're posting misinformation but all 98's came with rear headrests, side airbags, and lighted ///M shift knobs. The 98.5's only difference is the 3 spoke. This one is an earlier build 98.

Hi, I am in WI and have a 1998 Trans Am with a new 2002 Corvette ZO6 engine package and many mods. Under 10K on all of the mods. Body is original and has 131K. The car was dyno-tuned at Speed Inc. and has 427HP/436TQ. 100% reliable and very fast. Asking $12500 locally or trade. If you're interested send me an email and I can send pics, vids and sound clips. I am a hobby builder, 33, and not a racer so I don't know 1/4 mile times, I just build them!!!

If you have any interest in trading up to a E46 M3 plus cash let me know. '02 SMG 53,000 miles, Vorsteiner CF roof (w/sunroof), Umnitza Angel Eyes, and 175,000 bumper to bumper transferrable warranty. Asking $29K so it would be your car and $15-$16K in cash. I am in Lexington, KY so close to Cincinnati. Not sure what part of the state you are in.

It's also only an 8 hour drive, you could be in and out in a day. That's almost the exact same distance I went to get the RX7, granted it was a long day.

And if you are really serious you could fly here this weekend for $163.

The car is still for sale.

And just a warning to the people looking for an M3 and happen to scrape up enough to get a loan to buy one. First look into insurance cuz it aint cheap. I think this is why I've had to young buyers back out last minute. They both supposedly got approved for the loan and then all the sudden no more contact. I assume they look into insurance after the fact when they are ready to come get the car.....

You can fly for from $49-99 one way on Southwest, and they have 4 direct flights from Philly a day. Columbus really is not that far, I've driven it in 7 hours just outside of Philly, and it makes for a great time to learn about the car.

That is a seriously nice m3 fairly priced, and I really hope you get it.:buttrock

Jokesters, yes the spoiler is duct taped on and I've only driven it 3.8 times for a total of 119,000, they were 31315.789 mile trips to the moon. I made one round trip and I am still there so it may have 150315.789 on it when I get back.

If you like his car you should check out my Estoril M3 for sale :buttrock

Up for sale is my Estoril Blue and Dove Grey 1999 BMW M3 (click me for pictures (http://www.villagephotos.com/pubbrowse.asp?folder_id=1831511)) with less than 53k miles. I bought this car from a BMW dealership about 1-½ years ago and I believe that I am the second owner. When I changed from my 1997 M3 I looked for several weeks to find the perfect replacement. Once I saw this car I knew that I had found it. This car features the 100% Option Package. This means that if BMW listed an option, this car has it! Factory options include, but are not limited to:

On Board Computer
Power Sunroof
Heated Seats
Dual Power Seats
Harman-Kardon Sound System with Spatial Enhancement, 320 watts, and 10 speakers
Factory Alarm system with 2 Key Fobs
Factory Spoiler with Integrated Third Brake Light
Dual Front and Side Airbags

Modifications:

Performance:
· 18" ASA AR1 wheels with 225/40 WR Pirelli PZero Nero's tires– Less than 1,000 miles since new from TireRack (Cost $1,400)
· G2 Red Painted Brake Calipers
· Dinan Carbon Fiber Cold Air Intake – Installed by BMW dealer
· Dinan Stage 2 Software - Installed by BMW dealer

Appearance:
· OEM BMW Clear Corner Lights
· OEM BMW Clear Side Markers
· OEM BMW Clear Taillights (correct parts so they don’t set off the OBC)
· Depo Euro Ellipsoids Projector Headlights
· Osram Silverstars H1 Bulbs in Headlights and Fog Lights (These are the German bulbs, not the American Sylvania Silverstars. Roundel Magazine tested these as the BEST Halogen bulbs)
· 35% Carbon Tinted windows on the sides and 18% on the rear

Interior:
· Alpine CHA-S634 6 Disc Changer (works with factory BMW controls so you can control this changer with the Harmon Kardon radio)
· Bavarian Autosport Carbon Fiber Shift Knob (fits like the factory BMW knobs without the use of set screws so it will never loosen over time)
· Custom Leather Shift Boot
· Custom Leather Emergency Brake Boot

Maintenance:
· Shocks replaced 4k miles ago with Monroe Reflex Shocks
· Rear Shocks Mounts (RSM’s) replaced at same time with BMW HD RSM’s (see picture)
· BMW Z3 Shock Mount Reinforcers (see picture)
· Synthetic Oil replaced by BMW dealership
· BMW Locking Lug Nuts

Other Things to Note:
· I have the radio code so you will not need to pay the dealership if you disconnect the battery
· The battery has only been in the car for a year
· Car comes with 2 Alarm Fobs, 2 Keys, and 1 Valet Key
· Car comes with all weather floor mats and regular BMW M3 floor mats
· I have the Title in hand
· The arm rest is showing some cracking
· The driver’s side seat shows some wear on the outside bolster (doesn’t show up in pictures)

Valuations:
NADA (without the value of my modifications) - $21,875 for Average Retail ($19,625 for Low and $22,700 for High)

Asking price - $19,000
Please PM me any questions...thanks!

Please, no trades or financing

Nothing has been touched under the hood. I don't know if it's because it was built in Germany or not but I haven't had the issues most do.

Really nice car I'm going to check into my stuff and PM you later today I'v been looking to buy a BMW for a while. The only thing I have a question on is, do you know how much it would cost to fix the ripped seat and can you ship to Maine, thanks.

I had the same tear in leather on my honda estimated at $125. I have not had this one looked at. Its a BMW though so they probably tack on and extra $100. As long as I have a payment and the check is cleared I don't have a problem with shipping the car.

See those cars in the sig? I also have a 01VW jetta, a 94RX7 and a BMW X5. SOOOO the last thing I need is another car in my driveway it's already rediculous trying to get something outta the garage. Basically that is the only reason I am selling it. I'd love to keep it I just need a 6 car garage.

Yeah, I've had 4 serious people 2 ended up having credit problems last minute one of which gave me a deposit and 2 faded away. I don't know if they have insurance problems or what. I can't get an older guy (good credit and money) to look at the car for the life of me its all been guys in their 20's. The seat is the one thing that everyone freaking points out. I should just have it fixed since its the only bad spot on the whole car............ F it I am going to take it to a shop tomorrow.

Yes, I still have them. The mileage my fiance has put on the car has been all highway. She works 20 south of our house and we are 1mile from the highway so about the time it warms up she's on the highway with the cruise set. So basically the best miles as far as longevity go. The car starts and runs just like new.

Someone comments back that the maintence records weren't up to date or something like that...which is a concern for all potential M3 buyers. Was this ever addressed?

The owner before me was a dealership guy and did everything through them. I bought it at 80k and have done general maintenance on the car but have not had any problems with the car. I was daily driven by my fiance so it hasn't been beat on at all. The guy that brought it up said I should of had the radiator and water pump replaced. I told him I am not going to replace a rad or WP if the car shows no signs of needing it replaced.

The car is stored in my neighbors garage and I am not desperate to sell so I haven't advertised it on any other sites, kinda lazy I guess. As long as it is stored inside I don't mind keeping it, I don't really want to sell it I just don't have my own garage to keep it in.

NO! (had this asked before) when/if it ever leaked I would replace it, but it has never leaked. A radiator isn't going to just blow up, they all start with a small leak and get worse. This car has never had any issues.

I don't know if it is because this one was built in Germany or not but my radiator still looks new and show no signs of dry rot or cracking. The car runs just below the middle of the C to H position on the coolant gauge.
