Just looking to see how many people in the area have been waiting or wanting there fenders rolled but haven't had the time or money. I know I have. I spoke with Josh (The owner of Euro Technologies) and he said he would be down to do a fender rollin' GTG. If you want all corners or just the rear, or whatever he'll do it but only if there's a reasonbale number of people. The shop is located in Lynnwood near 148th for those of you who may not know. Just post up if you're interested and I'll give him a status report on the number so we can set-up a good time and date .....and the amount of people interested will determine the price per-corner. He also does a badass job of tinting. He'll basically do what ever you want. None of this it's gotta be legal crap!:buttrock

The only thing puting fatter tires will do is make you understeer more and help you slightly with launching, but that's all technique anyways.

Go with 245's all the way around and call it good. Sure rolling the fenders enables you to have a bigger lip, but it that just means more wait in a place that really matters.

To those of you who did power pullies and noticed a difference. You obviously understand or at least acknowledge that more rotational mass = bad for these cars. It's no different with your driveline, except you're dealing with substantially more weight, not only while sitting, but when you're moving, that extra weight is multiplied.

Okay, so a few so far...sweet, I'm sure they're are more out there. It doesn't have to be just BMW's if you guys have buddies that want/need it done also. He just prefers to work on Euros now days. I also had asked him about a tint job on the coupe and he said it depends on what % it's at and how you want the edges (bevelled or straight) He quoted me the avg. of 220-240 (with bevelled edges). But I watched him do a full Passat and it looked tits when he got done. He did a badass job. I know it's a little pricy....how long is Midnight's special going for. If I can get it for $130 or whatever, I'd rather do that if they do just as good of a job.
The time will be predicated on how many of us will be available around the same time. Most likely a Sat. early afternoon or something. We can figure that out later. I'm gonna talk to him this weekend and find out some more info for everyone and I'll let you know. I know he was ordering a new fender tool from Snap-on so I'm not sure how long it'll take to be dropped off. So I'll keep you guys posted! Thanks for the replys-

I'm interested. Do you have a ballpark figure on price?

Veedubbvr6
02-01-2007, 03:33 PM
It depends on if you want all four or just the rears. He knows the avg price is usually between 40-70 bucks a corner...so depending on what everyone is wanting.....and it seems that it's probably going to be rears, I was going to ask for something like 80-100 for the deal. And see what he comes back with. He's pretty cool and understanding so I know he'll give everyone a good deal. He's a perfectionist too so I can guarantee a great job!

lifetime everything on the premium film

ill prolly end up getting the premium tomorrow i asked he said its an extra 49.95 to get premium .... so that will put it around 210 out the door... im going to try and talk him down tomorrow.

I'll be installing mine soon also. But I was curious for the others running c/o if it's completely neccessary to use camber/caster plates in the front and the adjustable control arms in the rear in order to get a close enough alignment as to not eat away at the tires too fast. Anyone know if this can most likely be delayed without spending tons of money on just replacing tires?

Hopefully you guys get the idea behind the question...Thanks for any help!

well you can adjust your stock components to an extent so it depends on how much of an adjustment you need. i need a little over 1 degree adjustment all around so i'm getting camber plates/adjustable control arms.

and no i have 18"x8.5"s et38 with 225/40s. the h&r race gave me -3degrees camber in the back and -2 in the front. but i may be pulling out of doing this fender rolling, i found a local shop that will do it for $100 an axle

What's the negative doing to you rubber or have you not had it set-up long enough to tell the difference in wear?

hah, it's tearing the shit outa my rubber just one the inside edge. but then now i can just rotate the tires and wear out the other side till i get the camber kit on. good luck!

Hey Tucked, what size tires/wheels do you have currently? Are you rubbing all 'round or just rear? Stock suspension or lowered? I'm only asking because I'll be getting some 19's soon and I'am waiting to put my coilovers on so I'm just curious what I'm in for. :stickoutt

I don't think I'm going to use this guy anymore, he's obviously unreliable. I'd hate to actually speak to him and then agree on a day to do it when everyone shows up to realize he's not even there. I would just hate it to be a waste of time for everyone. At least the ways things are going at this point. Sorry guys..

Hey turbodefrost, did you ever go to the shop for $100 an axle? Did they do a good job? I wonder if they would do a discounted group thing. If you haven't done it yet, you should ask them. Or wait, it's in Bellingham huh?

I just got my fenders rolled saturday at a shop called 20/20 customs. They did a phenomenal job. AND it only cost me $25 a corner!! I'd recommend for anyone willing to make the drive to get yours done from these guys. They know what they're doing. Only problem is i'm still to low. Probly gonna get some coilovers so i can choose exactly the settings i want. Good luck everyone!

I don't think they'll really charge too much more for extra stretching. I didn't watch them do the rolling. I also had my adjustable control arms installed. but the actual rolling part only takes them an hour or so.
