February 2007 marks our five year anniversary. There have been many changes over the past five years, leading us to be one of the preferred sources for quality aftermarket parts and accessories in the BMW community. 2006 saw the opening of our 4000 sq.ft. (now 6000 sq.ft.) showroom, offices, and warehouse in Vernon CT. This allowed us to provide new services to our local customers that were not previously offered. In 2007 we hope to expand those services even further, with plans to provide more installation services and possibly even a dyno.

How is the ride on the H&R Sports for 96-99 M3 compared to stock ? How much stiffer is it, and is it bouncy ? Basically, is it pretty close to the ride comfort of the stock M3 suspension ?

Tim,

The H&R springs will be about 20% stiffer than your stock springs on your M3. How many miles are currently on your car? If you have more than 50,000 miles, you may want to consider new shocks and struts

I have 74k on mine. I want to have a nice comfortable ride. I want to lower it alittle bit, but still be very nice and easy ride. I have a wife and 2 kids, and we use my car all the time, it's my daily driver. So I don't want it to be harsh or anything.

On my previous M3, I did coilovers, but I don't want to spend that kind of money this time.

I would think about going with some Konis or Bilsteins at the same time then. You can put the springs on without changing the shocks and struts, but you might find the car bouncy if your stock shocks and struts are wearing out.

So you don't know if they have ever been changed then. If you are going to lower the car then I would probably go ahead and do the shocks struts at the same time.
