is it hard to swap the vanos w/ soleniod?? or is it hard and very time consuming? - i have thought about switching to a lower milage one as i heard the can break down, but didn't know how difficult the replacement process would be?

Will you just separate with the solenoid? If so, how much?

I would like to see if I can get it to go as a unit first...

Not easy. You definitly need some mechanical skills, not to mention some special tools.

And just to add, you also get a free "cam Install" video with the purchase ;) which will guide you through Vanos installation as well:D

Not sure exactly, but it is fully functional. It has been tested and works fine. I just took it off my car less than a month ago.
