View Full Version : Wish me luck.......
tlaselva 01-14-2003, 06:47 PM Ok guys.
Sorry, but I've just about made my mind I'm gonna turn to the dark side.
As some of you already know, I've been contemplaing a Z06.
Got one more obsticale.
Wife.
She still thinks I'm nuts from flippin' the 330i for the M last summer.
Once I break the news I'm gonna flip to a Z, she's gonna flip like a feminist at Hooters.
Ah well, I'm 38 now. Recently, I've realized the hard way that if you want somethin', go for it. Life's too short.
After 13 years of marriage, no bootie for a few weeks is no big deal. Hell, I consider it a vacation. :biglaughb
She hates Vettes, so that doesn't help either.
So I've gotta break the news to her soon.
I'm just gonna make sure I find the right time. (No solid objects within easy reach).
Wish me luck! I'm gonna need it! :)
///MDriver 01-14-2003, 07:22 PM Good luck for whatever happens.
JMWeb 01-14-2003, 11:07 PM Good Luck.. and although i love my M, i am happy to see that you will turn to a highly respected rival- the Z06..
jblack 01-14-2003, 11:11 PM Ya know, you are going to have to buy some bling chains for your neck, and unbutton the top 4 buttons of any shirt you wear from Z06 purchase date on, but it is your decision....
not to mention the required "penis reduction surgery"......
SilverStreak 01-14-2003, 11:28 PM You're giving up a back seat, BMW fit and finish pinache and prestige and sophistication, build quality, good residual/resale, etc, for a Chevy, lots of plastic, rattles, inferior fit and finish, ride quality only your chiropractor will thank you for, and ingress/eggress that will prompt you to take up yoga...
m3brad 01-15-2003, 10:43 AM Are you going to be "tracking" this new Z06? If not, I've talked to enough C5 owners that say it's not really a daily driver like an M3.
If you do the Z06, you're initial impressions will be
:love1 :boobies :love1
I had an '01 M3 and in two months will have an '03 M3 SMG. The daily enjoyment, on & off the track was always very high.
I think the Z06 is :coolquick but I would love to see your longterm impressions. Keep us posted.

Intend on tracking in both X and the 1320 frequently.
Just find the Z06 more usable in this regard, in various facets.
Got another two cars, which my wife and I use for daily duties, so the Z is relegated to 'playing'.
Your right in the regard that I wouldn't consider the Z if I had any inclination for daily use.
m3brad 01-15-2003, 08:00 PM It sounds like you've got your M3 nicely set-up. Tell me about your mods. What are you doing with your mods if your letting
that badboy go?:bawl
M3 2 NV 01-15-2003, 08:38 PM If you get the Z-06 you should go to Carvagio in Woodbridge for mods. They do some crazy stuff with them, big ponies. I'd be interested in the xenon fogs and interior lights.
///MDriver 01-15-2003, 09:22 PM Promise us that you will find the M3 a nice home.:D
m3brad 01-15-2003, 09:28 PM Please let me know where you got the Xenon stuff? Did it give you the effect you wanted, both inside and out? Thanks.
HTownM3 01-16-2003, 12:53 AM sell me your 19's!!!

Saw ur car at the Maxbimmer meet last August.
That's a slick lookin' M3.
If you’re looking for Xenon's, go to teutonic.ca.
Local distributor of a nice assortment of BMW M3 stuff, prices are also very good. Saves from paying all that conversion, duty and shipping from the US. Have nothing but good experiences with them. Rather leave the bulbs in the car. Their relatively cheap, so they’re not worth pulling out.
Thanks for the local shop for Z06 stuff. Can you pm me their address? Performance upgrades are coming shortly after I have possession of her. Thanks.
Likely sell the ACS Pedals, and DDE Gen. IV's, once the car's sold.
I'll post once for sale.
