What is a SG and what does it have to do with engine or exhaust noise?

I have no idea what SG means based off what you are giving me to work with... where did you see SG?

The Sound Generator is basically a plastic pipe that leads from the engine through the firewall to the interior, letting in engine noise. Makes the car sound racier, only came on the 3-liter models. It offers no performance enhancement.
