oh, I believe it will come with all the necessary hardware to mount them onto your M3 from lip. I will confirm this though.

I dont believe the Max Velocity Splitters are made of Poly-U so my guess would be no, they are very similar and for the price they seem like a good deal. I think the Mvelocity are made of ABS plastic.

Still getting word on if the hardware is included. I think Poly-U would be pretty strong and durable, but I have not seen them in person.

I never paid to much attention to the maxvelocity splitters, but from what Ive seen these are the same style, Replicas of the GT splitter/flippers. What you see in the pic above is what you get.

I have the CF version of these, and they used the existing lip and screws / plastic rivets, although for a few cents each, you can get longer ones and it's easier. you may need to square off the roundness of the two-piece plastic body rivet nearest to each tire to be able to push them up and in fully. Once you have everything pushed in and tightened up, they are tight...and low! Awesome look, but don't bang them into anything!

yup - i went to mileone.com to order by part number (and realoem.com to get part numbers for the longer screws) and they worked great - bought some extra of everything - rivets, long screws, shorter ones, clips, etc - helped alot when doing the splitters and JTD underpanel and misc other stuff, plus replacing lost ones and when i break one on occassion.

Sorry, for the abbreviations. Its made from Poly-Urethane ( very strong rubbery type material). Powerflex bushings are made of those.

Also, These DO NOT come with Hardware, but that shouldn't be too big of a problem. Just crawl under your car and find the diameter of the existing screws/Rivets that are holding your M3 lip on now and go buy two more. Or as M3buzz suggested buy some longer ones.

I just thought id chime in here. I ordered these off of the guy on ebay (unfortunately 2 days before this was posted). The seller was great, shipped them out super quick, and i got them in 5 days from Taipei. The polyurethane is nice, i had the MaxVelocity ones before, which were great until i destroyed them. But these are nice and flexible, but still really strong. So hopefully i wont have any breakage this time around.

Anyways, just thought id chime in to let everyone know its a great seller/product.

That would be fine. Im guessing he will start shipping them out asap once the 20 payments are made. ALso, not sure how soon after the GB will be closed once we reach the 20 payments so if you are sitting on the fence trying to decide if you want one, I would recommend jumping on this b/c the deal wont last forever.

Just want to clarify, I am not the seller/vendor. Just the GB starter. The vendor told me to close the groupbuy once he starts shipping the orders out. He will be back from break on the 26th. So as far as I know, If you are placing your order before he starts shipping them out you should be fine.

The groupbuy was not limited quantity, but we had to get atleast 20 orders to get the GB price.

I'd recommend placing your order if you want one. Worst case scenario, you will be refunded your money back if its too late.

Just want to clarify, I am not the seller/vendor. Just the GB starter. The vendor told me to close the groupbuy once he starts shipping the orders out. He will be back from break on the 26th. So as far as I know, If you are placing your order before he starts shipping them out you should be fine.

The groupbuy was not limited quantity, but we had to get atleast 20 orders to get the GB price.

I'd recommend placing your order if you want one. Worst case scenario, you will be refunded your money back if its too late.

Sorry, it is too late to get these at the GB price. I believe the vendor sells them on Ebay for $80 shipped. You can search ebay for "bmw Splitter" and you should be able to find the item there.

rc'd mine today.. I have to say I am a little disappointed on the finish of them, but I did hold it up to my car to see the fitment and look and it will definitely look really good!

I think I am going to Sand/primer/ and spray them with Flat Black though...

got mine as well and yea the finish is that good but nothing some sand paper cant fix

I installed them today..

-Sanded them
-resprayed them flat black (did a really quick lazy job)
- mounted it(added zip ties for security, you can't see them)

Tip: when drilling the wholes out make sure to take some time and line them up perfectly with the existing wholes on your car, it will save you time and it will fit much nicer..

I drilled about 3-4 extra holes on each side and zip tied them to the M3 Lip, just in case they get ripped off by a dip in the road( I am pretty sure they will get ripped off soon, check out my clearence YIKES!!)

Done, Looks good and Can't beat the price.

not sure.. mine came in about 2-3 days after I got the shipping confirmation. I noticed they shipped from overseas...

first drive with these on, first dip in the road... Scrape!:mad on my way back home, say dip super slow... SCRAPE AGAIN!:eyecrazy I am going to have to drive a lot more careful.

ALso, one of my zip ties was a dud and already popped off. I think the teeth on the female end was broken to begin with

The existing bolts are pretty short. If you pop one off and take it to a dealership there are the same gauge bolts but longer available. Also, the last two on each side closest to the wheels are Rivets not Bolts. I would secure everything as much as you can. I zip-tied mine up in a couple spots by drilling extra wholes into the splitter. Seems pretty secure for now..

I just got mine and yeah they really do need some sanding. I am also painteding them a satin black because the sanding took some of the color off. But all in all they are pretty good for $67shipped ill post pics when mounted

just jacked up one side at a time. And unscrewed half the bolts that mount the m3 lip up. One side at at time

Got mine yesterday... haven't even had time to open the box yet, but will install them this weekend.

got mines today, from taiwan to ecuador in about a week, its not bad at all....

they do need sanding, after that, theyll be just fine... im color matching them to the car....

Where is everyone getting the longer bolts from. I really dont feel like going to the dealer, can I get some at home depot? If so does anyone know the correct size for the bolts?

Yes they are Rivets rather then bolts... It helps if you have a rivet popper(kinda like the back side of a Hammer; nail remover) if you unscrew the other bolts and lightly tug on the lip it should pull the rivet out a bit and you can wedge something in there to pop them out. its a rivet with a plastic tube piece that slides in the center to lock it in place.

I reused mine, but couldnt really get them back in there perfectly. You have to make sure you drill the holes so they line up perfectly... I did zip-tie it off in several different spots so I dont think it will be going anywhere;) Check out my post on the last page...

I just put mine on. I went to the hardware store and spent about 5 dollars on everything I needed. I got longer philips head screws, 8 total and drilled them into the lip worked great. For the two outer ones with the rivets I just drilled out the holes in the bumper a little and got 4 of those tab things to drill screws in. Put them in and it worked great. Total was about 30 min.

I just don't understand how people have 1000 questions on how to install a SIMPLE under spoiler? Comon people, go buy some damn bolts/nuts/washers and get them on. Definitely don't need a write up.

Recieved mine today! The finish on them was pretty good, but I'm going to paint them a flat black. Sucky thing is I'm going to have to raise my car up cuz when i test fitted them it looks lo be only about 2 inches of ground clearance...:( Scaper scaper

hmm I did a really quick job on mine thinking it would eventually get all scratched up anyway, So far is holding strong. The paint has not flaked.. Did you make sure to clean it thoroughly after sanding?

make sure there are no oils on them from you r fingers and stuff, thats what may be making your paint flake

I went back and sanded them again and gave them a GOOD cleaning with soap and water. paint has not flaked off as of tonight (I painted them this afternoon) so I think it's gonna stick this time. thanks for the tips guys :)
