As it comes closer time for me to get my license, I'm finding it harder and harder to find the right car. I have some minimum, easily met, requirements.

Must be within ~50 miles of 37067 (Franklin, TN) or 42071 (Murray, KY)
Must be E30 or E36 i/is ('is' preferred but if I can't find one, 'i' will work, too)
Must be manual
Must be in good shape mechanically
If E36: must be under 7k (a bit flexible)
and must have VANOS (> 93)
If E30: must be under 4k (a bit flexible)
Miles don't really matter but I'll pay more for a lower mile car, obviously
No major mods (excluding air intake, and LSD)
*EDIT* Needs up to date maintenance (replaced water pump and such if at certain mileage)
Must be generally well kept int/ext (though that is only a small thing, price will vary in accordance to how good int/ext is)The problem for me isn't the price, or the mechanical shape; it's the fact I want a manual. I have found around 4-5 3-series that are automatic.

I really don't know why I haven't returned more results but I suppose that the time will come.
