A few weeks ago, I complained about the mark up on parts at the Nashville BMW dealership. I know we all like to rag on the $tealer. But this time, I have to say that I got the best treatment one could possibly expect from my local dealer.

This past weekend, I disconnected my battery to work on my steering wheel thinking that I had the radio code, but did not. I know, what an idiot, I derved whatever I got. I called BMW of Nashville to find out what I should do to get the radio code. They told me OVER THE PHONE where I could find the serial number for my radio. When I called back with the number to ask if I should come in, they researched it for me OVER THE PHONE:clap: , so I didn't have to make a special trip. And of course, no charge. All I can say is that I won't be so averse to throwing some future business their way. It's times like this when you're in a pinch and you absolutely have to have them that good service really counts.;)

Nice. I usually hear people getting hustled around with those codes.

Glad to hear that a dealer is doing what they should. I work for a BMW dealer, and I can tell you that all we do is log on to a BMW NA corporate web site, put the radio serial number in, and it returns the radio code. No time/effort involved should always equal no charge, especially if they want loyal customers.
