I had a tire go flat on me. I had to drive on the flat a little bit to get of the interstate. All very slow, but now it seems as though the edges of the wheel plating have come off and I do not know how to fix it. Any ideas?

What do you mean?
You might of ground the wheel. If so the only thing to do is getting a new one.

Looking at the wheel it looks as though the shiney part is a plating over a flat metal. I know it is not chrome plated. I will take a pic and post it.

Either the paint or powder coat.
The finish to the wheel is ruined and gone.
So you just need to get it refineshed.
