View Full Version : WTB: '93-'95 325i/is sedan
Blanco 01-27-2007, 11:50 PM Greetings.
I'm looking for a '93-'95 325i or 325is in Northern California (I'm near Sacramento). This will be my first BMW so I'm not looking to pay top dollar, I'll pay as high as $5k but would like to keep it around $4k or less. I'm a decent mechanic so minor problems are alright but I already have one project car and really don't need another, no major problems please...unless you're willing to sell for a steal to make it worth my time to fix said problem(s).
This is what I'd like. A manual sedan, possibly with some M3 mods, that hasn't had the crap beaten out of it (contradiction?), is lowered on H&R Sport Springs or something similar, and is basically ready to go. This car will serve double duty and my fiance's new ride and a part-time play thing for me, so condition is more important to me than milage, to an extent. We don't really need a massive system, DVD player, or flip out screens...if you're willing to remove such items for a lower price, let's talk. No red or automatic cars, please.
I'm an adult buyer with the money to spend.
mgold 01-28-2007, 06:40 PM I'm in the same boat as you, looking for basically the same thing, although I could only use a 4-door. Good luck with your search. Don't forget to try craigslist and autotrader, as there's usually a pretty good selection of 2-doors listed (the 4-door cars I've seen have been trashed). Also, check with Walter at Valley Motorwerks as he might have a car for sale.
Blanco 01-28-2007, 06:57 PM I did find a decent looking '93 318 for a good price, but I already have two four bangers. It's slow going lately now that I actually have the money to spend. I've been looking around on Craigslist and AutoTrader for the last few months and have seen several cars that fit the description but didn't have the money to spend. I'll check with Valley Motorwerks though. Thanks for that lead and good luck with your own search.

koconnell 01-29-2007, 01:28 AM i'm also looking for a 325is. i'm hoping to find one in or around nc. i've come across a couple but they have all sold in a heartbeat, so i'm still looking. good luck to you guys and i will let you know if i find any decent 4 doors for you.
onewhippedpuppy 01-29-2007, 05:45 PM I'm a ways from most of you, but I have a good condition '93 325i 5 speed for sale. Lots of recent repairs, and very light and tasteful modifications. I have not agressively tried to sell it yet, our weather has been crappy around here as of late, and I haven't had time to take any quality pictures. $5250 OBO, here's a link with more details, one picture, and the maintenance history.

mgold 01-29-2007, 05:54 PM Thanks for posting that link. It looks like a nice car, but I am personally trying to stay away from black (Not sure about the others). Here in Sacramento we get some pretty nasty dust that gets all over the cars, even after just a few hours outside. One of my friends has a black E34 525i and was constantly washing it when he lived in town (now he has to worry about snow). My cabrio gets dirty very quickly and I garage it every night. Good luck with the sale!
onewhippedpuppy 01-29-2007, 06:09 PM I can't argue with that. Sure looks nice when it's clean though!
Blanco 02-01-2007, 05:44 PM That is a beautiful car WhippedPuppy, but 25 hours away is just a little too far and I really don't feel like dealing with the hassle of bringing an out-of-state car into California.
I'm ready to buy, who else is actually ready to sell their car? Maybe a nice E34 535i? Who's got a clean, 5-speed, non-convertable, California (preferably NorCal) car they want to sell in the next few days? Please don't be afraid to negotiate for a mutually good price. I've been a salesman for many years and here's how it works. I like your car, you present a price, I make an offer, then you make a counter-offer, and we eventually come to a price we both like. At which point I put the agreed upon number of Ben Franklin's in the palm of your out-stretched hand. The money's in the bank and waiting, so who wants to sell their car?
