m.olennick 01-27-2007, 02:20 PM awesome car choice!!!! i'm sure many people agree.
jusdrake1 01-27-2007, 06:27 PM where and when is this??
SeattleBMW325i 01-28-2007, 12:54 AM there's gonna be an insane amount of e36 m3s there...just look at how many z3/m coupes there were, and those are somewhat rare.
i'll be there, again, not that anyone will know :stickoutt i won't be showing, after seeing the cars last year, mine is no where near show condition. those e30s were absolutely perfect, i didn't know there were e30s in that condition around
mitchelrl 01-28-2007, 12:59 AM I'll be showing.
stevesbmw 01-28-2007, 04:43 AM Man, I feel stupid. I have no idea what this whole thing is.
Darth Maul 01-28-2007, 02:23 PM When is this, date, time, location?
stevebmw, where are you getting your twin screw supercharger?
///w3fl3x 01-28-2007, 11:18 PM The date is not set yet but it will be in july. :)
Plenty of time to start cleaning every crevice in your car to prepare for the show.
This will be in tukwilla i think? By the water park off of exit 3 on 405. I think that's the right exit for it.
Same spot as it's at every year.
stevesbmw 01-29-2007, 10:37 PM Darth, Eurosport. So this thing is pretty much: you just cruise in with your car and then they line you up for a photo? Or is it actually a competition car show? I'm still lost and feeling blonde....

Competition car show. You have to register with them ahead of time to bring your car onto the field.
You'll see cars that are show room condition that are 10+ years old. Most are even older then that. :eyecrazy
Oh you can either be judged or just show.
cramer 01-30-2007, 12:32 AM Competition car show. You have to register with them ahead of time to bring your car onto the field.

They have done day of registration in the past, but you save money doing it ahead of time.
If you elect to be display only (not judged) it's also $10 less)
stevesbmw 01-30-2007, 03:02 AM Cool, thanks for the info. I'll come at least check it out!
SeattleBMW325i 01-30-2007, 03:14 AM it's in renton, just off 405, exit 4? in the park at the theater thing, or more commonly known, they new waterpark. it's pretty cool, you should all go if you can. luckily it's about 5 min. from my house
Joey Link 01-30-2007, 06:01 AM stevesbmw, did I take that pic in your sig or was that someone else? just curious...
Damn, I'm definitely driving down for this.
mitchelrl 01-31-2007, 12:21 AM Take the 405 exit off of I-5, take exit 4, you should see a Denny's in front of you, look across the street from the Denny's and you're there.
RedmondRocket 01-31-2007, 03:38 PM The E30 picnic/car show limited to 3 series BMW's from 1986 thru 1992 is scheduled again for the XXX Root Beer Drive Inn in Issaquah on June 10th...165 e30'S in attendence last year some from Oregon and BC...the biggest E30 gathering in the US.
The BMW Club Concours is held every year in July at the Renton Cedar River Park off I405 exit 3. The Event is open to all BMW's and each year a car is featured this year it is the E36 M3...I think 212 cars last year...All good looking cars bimmers mostly super clean...

Darth Maul 01-31-2007, 04:12 PM hmmm, If it's a competition, maybe I'll take my engine out and clean up my engine bay and clean it up a lot.
///w3fl3x 01-31-2007, 04:29 PM Make friends with the q tips as i'm sure you'll go through atleast a box if you want to be competitive in the judging.
It'll be an excuse to really clean your car up. :)
stevesbmw 01-31-2007, 09:44 PM stevesbmw, did I take that pic in your sig or was that someone else? just curious...
I can't remember, it might have been. Actually, I am pretty sure it was your pic. If you posted like 5 pages of pics on a different site?
ThipN 02-04-2007, 04:28 AM I'll be there for sure.
Cramer - Stop by after you have the Supersprint installed on your M5.
cramer 02-05-2007, 02:42 AM Will do Thip, I want to hear the full SS system on your M3 so let me know when that gets on there :)
SeattleBMW325i 02-05-2007, 04:39 AM Will do Thip, I want to hear the full SS system on your M3 so let me know when that gets on there :)
OMG i hate you. this has nothing to do with your post. but i just saw you have a corrado and and e30 m3. it's like the 2 cars i want the most. it's a good thing you don't have a manual 8 series
Lance Racing 02-06-2007, 03:46 PM We are firming up the exact date (late July), but the location is the same: Cedar River Park in Renton. Just off I-405.
About 1/3rd of the cars opt to get judged. Both the exterior, interior and engine bay are judged for cleanliness. We don't worry about originality. Only BMW Club members can be in the judged competition. Etched glass trophies provided by BMW Seattle. Great reason to give your BMW a once-a-year bumper to bumper spa treatment.
About 2/3rds of the cars are entered in the Display class. No judging here, entry fee is $10 less, and non-members can enter the Display class.
All cars (judged or display) get a Griots Garage sampler kit, event poster and fridge magnet. BMW Club members get a discount on the entry fee. Day of event registration is OK.
Judged and Display cars are parked together by class. All of the E36 M3s will be parked as one group.
cheers,
Lance Richert

stevesbmw 02-06-2007, 03:51 PM Great! Thank you for the information!
ThipN 02-06-2007, 05:48 PM Will do Thip, I want to hear the full SS system on your M3 so let me know when that gets on there :)
I'll try to find some time to install it. There's still a few cars we have to get to first before I can play with my own cars. I hope to have the VF-Engineering Supercharger installed by the time show season comes around as well. We'll see.
Lance Racing 05-11-2007, 11:33 AM Here's the Promo poster for this year, the E36 M3 is the Featured Car:

///w3fl3x 05-12-2007, 02:06 AM Is there anyways i can get a few of those posters lance?
It would be cool to post one of those at work. :D
SeattleBMW325i 05-12-2007, 02:18 PM does miki still have that m3 ltw?
and +1 on the poster
///w3fl3x 05-12-2007, 02:33 PM Probably since i havn't heard of any ltw posted up for sale in our area lately.
 when we first got my car in late1999 it had 28k on it, we put rims suspention intake and chip in it and when it had 36k on it took it to the Concours d'Elegance. Placed fourth in points out of 8 E36 cars(5M cars and 3 normal). It was a fun experiance. Some thing we learned the more miles on you car the more points you earn. They also judge having a speare tire and the tool kit and flashlight in the glove box (which was some thing we did not have) and meany more things like that. But over all it was a sweet experiance. tastefull mods can help you, (like the dinan packages, modified club cars that are clean, but some things can heart you like corner lights that dont line up right or lights that dont work.) it was fun and i want to go if work will have it.:buttrock
Lance Racing 05-13-2007, 09:29 PM I can post up the judging criteria for anyone that wants to enter the judged class. Be aware there is also a display class if you just want to show up and display your BMW with everyone else on the green lawn.
We do give bonus points for mileage, to give a nod to daily drivers compared to garage queens. We judge on cleanliness and condition. Not on originality. Mod are OK, but really won't earn points by themselves. If they are clean and in good condition is all we judge on.
Some clubs judge on originality (Porsche and Jaguar for example) but we don't want to get into that, too much of PITA and BMWs are meant to be driven anyway. Think of it as a once a year reason to really clean your car.
Registration will open in early June, and that is when judging criteria, etc will be posted.
Miki still does own her LTW and is actively tracking it whenever she can keep good brakes and rotors on it.
e36bimmer328is 05-13-2007, 11:29 PM dammit!!!!!

jusdrake1 05-14-2007, 01:01 AM Lance - I want a copy of the poster.
SeattleBMW325i 05-14-2007, 01:03 AM i think you have to sign up to show your car to get one, i could be wrong, i know that's at least one way, maybe you can buy them at the show too :dunno

MyMach5 06-01-2007, 11:47 AM As long as it's not the last weekend in July (pretty sure that's brewfest) I would be down to drive up for this. Would some of you Portland guys be interested in meeting up and driving up as a group?
How many E36 M3s have registered? I'm driving down from BC to specifically check out the "feature car" and I'd love for it to be an awesome turn out.
Ty Vil 07-09-2007, 10:21 PM Benji, it'll be good to finally meet you.
XJCASPER 07-09-2007, 11:25 PM Lance - I want a copy of the poster.
Me too.
Benji, it'll be good to finally meet you.I'll be looking out for the guy in yellow. :D

so... fresh
Lance Racing 07-26-2007, 02:26 PM To clear up a bit of confusion... there is no cost to come as a spectator and see all of the BMWs on the lawn at Concours this Sunday.
Also, if you want to Display or have Judged your BMW, you can register Sunday Morning at the show. Please get registered between 9:30am and 11:00am. We can take cash, check or credit card.
de-Anna has lined up a great BBQ Caterer for lunch, so bring some bucks for food. We sampled them at another event earlier this summer, and their food is good! They will be cash only for payment.

Pre registration numbers look pretty good, we look to have a good showing of Featured Car E36 M3s! I can't imagine owning an E36 M3 and not being part of this.
