I know you guys get this all the time, but i am new to bmws. My question is this. What type of tranny fulid do i use to service tranny and can you tell me the best place to buy the parts to service it.

most guys strongly recommend using the OEM unit only( must have FILTRAN stamped on the filter). There should be vendors listed at the E32 link I posted or you can also try one of the SVs here.
