I need the entire carpet kit for an e30 M. Can anybody link me to a site or retailer that sells a quality carpet kit?
There are a couple of good upholstry shops but prefer a kit especially made for the car.
thanks,
aaron

$500+ for one from the dealer.
There are no quality aftermarket kits, they are horrible fit/finish.

You may also be able to find a clean used carpet from someone building a track car. Shipping will be very expensive due to size/weight, but you may get lucky and find one in the close vicinity.

I'd check boneyards in your area for regular E30 carpets. You can usually get a mint carpet for around $100.

Aftermarket carpets don't come with the foam backing and strategically placed padding, so it won't look factory.

I was thinking of posting in the WTB section but i've never had any luck with responses to threads in there.
I have a friend that works at the dealer here in town, I'll see what he can get the kit for. thanks for the reply.

It's tough finding nice carpet in cars at the junk yard, i'd rather spend the $500 bucks. thanks for the idea though.

With all the work that goes into replacing carpet - I have done it in other cars, never in an E30 - I think it is worth getting new factory carpet if you want it to look good and original. Still, you might want to try s14.net when it comes back up.

That is the way I went. I paid around $350 for a new factory carpet kit. It took months to come in, as there were none in the country at the time. Although, it is a bit different the original.

Is that a true black carpet or dark grey/anthracite? If it is black, do you have the part #? (did you get the rear peice too?)

All I can find is anthracite part #s :(

It is anthrazit but when you look in the car, its black. 51471933411 is the part #.

The rear isn't listed :( If anyone could track that down they'd be my hero.

realoem.com shows the rear anthracite section as 51471922542, but I had to keep picking cars until i found it, so that number is still available for a euro 325i built in 87.
