View Full Version : BF.C Calendar Southwest Region
snk328is 01-12-2003, 11:39 PM If you haven't already, check out the thread in OT about possibly putting together a BF.C calendar. Details can be found here:
http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=66989
Quote from thread above.
Right now what we really need is a list of cars we might want in the calendar somewhere. What we need is is a list of names (real and bimmerforums names), pictures of the car (don't have to be high-res right now, but if you can get them, get them), a list of modifications, and a location.
So start posting the best pics that you have and let's represent our region!
edit: In other regional forums, nominations are being solicited. If you would like to nominate somebody, post here as well. I'm thinking that we can start out by posting pictures here first, then we can hold a vote later.
Furthermore, please only post one pic of your car. If you can, please host your pic on a different server and use the [img] tag so we can save server bandwidth. If you don't know how to use the [img] tag, lemme know and I'll help you out.
dallasdriver 01-13-2003, 12:52 AM Ok thinking of Dallas, I think the nicest rides we have are:
Austin's dads e36 m3, Mon's e46 m3, and David from DTMotorworks e36 m3, Chart's e46 m3 is also very nice.
dallasdriver 01-13-2003, 12:56 AM I also have a great camara, that is a pro system, however I do not know locations for shoots. I would be more than happy to shoot the shots.
Austin 01-13-2003, 02:13 AM My dads car is avalible. Also talk to Jojo about shoots around Dallas hes been on that for awhile and very good at it.
snk328is 01-13-2003, 10:23 PM Ok, so it looks like we've got Dallas covered pretty well. Dallasdriver, are you going on the Austin drive? I'm going to try to go, but I just have one digi-cam and a 128MB stick. I'll probably bring my laptop to dload pics onto it, but it would be nice to have more sources of pictures.
Anybody from the other states have any nominations or submissions??? (AZ, NM, NV, OK, UT) Let's represent!
FiKtIOn 01-13-2003, 10:33 PM I need a while to get going..Cause i will be getting a front lip, and will be painting all the gray...Other than that, I dont have a whole lot more exterior mods to do..
That gold is just screaming for a nice pic with professional equipment...I'd be different, at least. :-P
I think its a great idea.
FiKtIOn 01-13-2003, 10:37 PM Sorry for whining about what I need to do..My pics are here:
http://autos.werd.com/dmontzmax/Misc...Stuff./m50%20Stocker/
They aren't the papa's meet ones..
Anywho, I only have one good one with the clears, I will try to take a little better one tomorrow or sometime..
What kinda timeframe are we looking at here?
EDIT: I think we have enough pics from dallas area to fill a calendar...If not, we can add a pic from the papa's meet, and a big group pic would be pretty cool.
That leaves 10 pages for cars, or 11 pages for cars. You guys decide, I just revel in my own creativity daily. :biglaughb
Hell, maybe i'll be able to squeeze my car into a group shot ;)
Autoscope's M3 is pretty tight (i always forget his name, Cerse maybe?)
snk328is 01-13-2003, 10:40 PM I think we have some time before all pic submissions are due. Somebody voiced over in the original thread that March/April may be the time when a lot of folks could get out and take pics because of the change in weather.
FiKtIOn 01-13-2003, 10:43 PM Yeah, I just want to stay informed on it, as I would like to hold november's spot..Being my birthday and all. ;)
But seriously, I would like to get in it, even if it's on the group shot without my car.
It's all good. :buttrock
snk328is 01-13-2003, 10:44 PM Nerces is the owner of Autoscope and yes, his car is VERY nice.
Maybe for next month's meet I'll make an announcement and try to organize a group photo with all the Dallas area BF.C members. I'll start thinking of good photoshoot locations. You guys start thinking too!!!
I'm hoping that folks in the other states will also try to organize something too. *NUDGE NUDGE AZ, NM, NV, OK, UT MEMBERS*
snk328is 01-13-2003, 10:51 PM Keep in mind that there are going to be a LOT of cars, and limited space, because this is a Bimmerforums calendar. There are tons of other regions and members that will be submitting pictures. I submitted my sig pic for consideration but I won't be disappointed if it doesn't get used. If we can get a kick-ass group photo, I'm sure that will have a higher chance of making it into the calendar than individual photos.

Duwd... I think I'm the only active UT member :(
The scene here is relatively weak... and I don't know anyone here with a "decent" looking bmw :dunno  :bawl
I'll keep a look out though, and try to hookup for a photo shoot if I do find one. :D Hell, I'll even post a thread.... hopefully someone will respond.
I'll also try to make it out to another state if there is going to be a meet and I'll take along my digi-SLR. Some 4256x2848 pictures should shrink down nicely to be used in the calander.
Lates.
foRRREVerz 01-15-2003, 09:43 PM Here's the thread for any UTAH peeps:
