To : Bimmerforums.com Aussies ;)

A group of Bimmerforums Members have decided to come together in an effort to create
a BMW calendar that would be supported by Bimmerforums and consist of only Bimmerforums members’ cars. The layout has not been decided on yet, other than it will be an 18 month calendar beginning July 2003, running through December 2004. We are looking for BMWs to use in both features (only image(s) of that one car for a certain month) and also in group shots, collages, and 'yearbook' pages within the calendar. I'll quote Jim...

I think we can come up with a nice collage of great cars that may not make the individual page cuts. I want pics form car meets etc. There is no reason why we can't have some extra pages in the calendar just like year books. So get me whatever pictures you think are interesting to all of us or that have interesting composition. We'll find a way to use them. Even if we have to issue a website of interesting wallpaper pics.

So, what is the point of this post?
I need nominations for vehicles to be used in the calendar. Self nomination is fine
also. Nominations must include: picture (doesn't have to be high resolution at this
time but if they are, that would be terrific), list of modifications, and location.
We are looking for BMWs - this is not a 3 series only calendar. 318's,
540's, M635's, 7 series (minus E65 ;)), if it's BMW and looks good - nominate it. Both
heavily and lightly modified cars will be accepted.

If you want to nominate someone, please post their name and picture of their car here in this thread (if the image is too large, email it to me PHSPomona@hotmail.com). Eventually, to be included in the calendar, we will require very high resolution, professional looking pictures (mainly for the feature cars), so keep that in mind. Thanks for the help guys!

Perfect! If you guys could get group shots or individual shots of all your cars, that would be awesome. If you can, PLEASE get them VERY high resolution! As soon as you get something, let me know, and I'll get them, names, and spec sheets from you all. Thanks a ton!

If we can get this organised, we could get Mark Pakula to do the shots as he has done some stuff for the skyline boys (cruises etc)

I'm sure Yang would be able to comment on this.

I can gain access to the range-topping Nikon and Sony digital cameras also.

If you guys could get a nice car (or a few nice cars) with anything similar to the quality I saw at Mark's web site, you WILL get a feature spot! It would be awesome if you could get something in the background that really shows Australia (Sydney Opera House? Kangaroo?). You know, something that distinguishes you. Again, thanks for the help and support!

Opera House is more likely than kangaroos

Macquarie street? Near the big fountain close to the Opera house? We could get harbour bridge? I guess Mark would have some ideas.

Does the Kangaroo have to be alive?

If you're thinking about running it over, it just might be a bad idea unless you have a cow catcher mounted on the front of your ///M :D But, just my opinion...do what you want!
