A welcome-home cruise would be awesome! But I won't be back till the 7th of February so Nico has a bit of time to get his car ready. If not - we'll wait for him to get his car finished... cuz we can't have a cruise without the Imola Red M3 Convertible :nono

Allenby: Yeah, in a few stages of dismemberment! I haven't been since before Christmas because Herbert is in Germany and the workshop is closed. The Viking is actually haveing a holiday for once.

From memory the old turbo and dump pipe is off, the new turbo is mocked in place and the new dump pipe has been fabricated with ceramic coating.

Ask The Viking for more info ...

Thanks for the update. From what the Viking told me I thought everything was ready save for the pending exhaust system (scheduled for mid-january) and the dyno tuning. I hope it's ready as agreed by the time I get back.

Will give the Viking a call sometime to check.

How's the new diff and the other modifications/additions?

Allenby: Well The Viking knows better than I do, since he's building it! I was just working from memory.

The diff is going well. I still haven't really sorted out a new launch strategy; just haven't found a place and time to work on it.

Yes its strange that the Barbaric Hun from gladesville is taking a holiday, but he insists on leaving his angry little yellow thing asleep. He could have much more fun if he took her out more often.

Oh- and BTW- someone saw fit to take the front end of my car out on Sunday- so I cant come for a cruise for Al unless Erik keeps a spot for me ;)

flat top truck picked the car up today to go to the exhaust shop, will be back hopefully by the end of the week, if not then early next week, then I have to sort the oil and water lines, fittings etc, plus a few more things I'll keep you posted.
By the way the new larger front compressor looks pretty tough in the engine bay, you'll freak when you see it!

Steve Irwin...sounds familiar is he KMAC USA, out near DisneyLand?, if so I met him and he helped me out once..really nice guy. Yeah, I know about the toilet widgey or whatever you call it. But seriously mate, I realize you could hit a jack or a shiela (just like a deer)...but do they ever punch you in the side of the head if your window is open. Please it's the only thing holding me back from going!

Hank: A Kangaroo *will* punch through an open window if provoked. One thing to bear in mind though is that most Kangaroos are southpaws, and therefore on a RHD vehicle you have the advantage.

It's friday arvo and I'm back!

The mechanical-side of my upgrade is complete with only the dybo-tuning remaining. THis will be done Monday next week and hopefully won't be a very long affair.
