I am in the market for some new wheels for my 525i. I know you all will have some good ideas and info on where I can buy them. I am looking for a wheel with some "lip" on them. Probably sized from 17 to 18". My car is Calypso color. I think I would prefer chrome or plolished aluminum. What do you think about a wheel with a black center and polished lip? Any opinions and ideas are welcome. I will be lowering te car as well. Thanks: Marty

Don't do 18's, your car doesn't have enough hp to turn them and the additional wear on the sus parts is extreme. Find a set of OEM e39 style 5's in silver, get some hubcentric rings for $20 and you will have the cleanest look avaiable on an e34.

Agree with Skateparks...I wouldn't do over 17" either. Well, for OE M-Parallels or some BBSs, then MAYBE. :)

Style 5s are always a great option. Have you seen "spyrot1"s car? Calypso '95 lowered on Style 5s. One of the prettiest cars on the forum.

How much do you like these wheels?

I like the lip on them. I am undecided on wether black centers would look good on a calypso color car. What brand and style are they? Where can I buy them? What do you guys think? Where should I shop for style 5s?

Style 5's are all over ebay. Take your time and find a nice set with 235 or 245/40's for $5-800. They were original equipment on thousands of e39's so they are out there.

IMO, I have black centers on a black car but tried them on my red (not calypso) M5 and they looked like crap. Go with silver.

Or you should buy my wheels so I can buy the OZ's! I didn't really notice too big of a difference in ride
quality going from 17 to 18"

I agree that black centers would not look good on a Calypso car.
