Yes, you could go with some hella euro ellipsode headlights. Makes the car look great plus better light out put. I know they are a bit pricy but here is a link to them

later projectors from a US car... I assume you are talking abut the low beams as my 92 highbeams are MORE than adequate.
Then there are the Cheaper knockoff Depo projectors.
Shoot I missed out on a complete set of French projectors and highbeams for under $200 on ebay.

Search ebay fro makoautotrands, or something like that. they will pop up with a keyword search for "E34 headlights".

They sell Depo Euro projectors for less than 150 shipped. Then put some HID's in them. If you are on a budget, which it sounds, then go with Osram Silverstar H1 +50 bulbs. White light and very bright.

This is what the Depo Erup Prjectors look like. These are the ones from the company mentioned above....

it's makoto auto trends... and they suck. I bought my lights from them about 3 weeks ago, and they "forgot" the wiring adapters. They might be here by the end of this week. They only told me 3 times "we're really going to ship them today." Then again, they're probably the best bang for the buck in swapping headlights.

However, if you want something even a little cheaper, I could sell you my old projectors (ellipsoidals) for a very reasonable price. One high beam is pointed down, but I think it just needs an adjuster screw, which should be a fairly easy fix. PM me if you're interested.

Lookup E34's were Harmed and you will find the Sad Sad story of one desprate idiot's pursut to change his car for the better but soon found out how much of an idiot he was and commited suicide soon after.

You really do get what you pay for. I ordered the Hellas from Abrahams Motorsports, and received a quality product that I am very pleased with.
Just my .02 but as the poster said above, the E34 is a gentleman's car and should be treated as such.

And +1 on the projector vs. halo light debate.... angel eyes don't belong on e34s. The more you look at em, the uglier they get.

In all fairness, every time this mod is mentioned, it should be done with a reference to the black E34 wagon that also has E39 lights, but they actually look good there. It's in some long-buried thread.

Those looked decent, but they were still to smooth to flow with the classic lines of the e34.

I just installed my euro ellipsoids with my high and low beam hid's....WOW..I will post pics when I get home from work in the morning....BTW, 8000k lows, 6000k highs... Looks like daylight in front of me with high beams on...

i would like to see more pics of that car....e39 conversion doesnt look bad..just wondering how it fit with the hood line.:shifty

They forgot mine, too. I would almost asure you they do that on purpose, as most people prolly won't call and demand they send them.

I called and demanded mine sent overnight, as I got mine installed before I realized they were not in the box. Meaning my headlights were non functional, and I was not about to remove and replace just to drive the next night, then do it all over again.
