If you can get em cheaper than that, pls let me know, I'd be interested in getting one from ya if you can, unless its not much cheaper than $60 shipped. TIA

Can someone place a pic of a filler plate on this thread? I went to that website and can't seem to find a pic of a filler plate.

got mine from the dealer for $80 CAD. what a rip off for a piece of plastic. you also need the cap that goes over the trunk button (which I didn't get)

About that cap, I've heard that it doesn't fit our locks, they're either too small or too large. The more anal non-M owners have swapped all three lock cylinders with M5 cylinders and rekeyed.

The ring doesn't fit, or you could put it on but you can't get in to the trunk because the ring jams the button(; I have tried, I recommend a new lock from BMW, costs like $60-70 I have bought one for 3 of my 5 E34: s, now I need another for my latest 540i/6, You can swap bricks from your old E34 lock to a used M5 lock but were to get a old M5 lock? And to what cost?

I tried what I thought was all ways possible and when it didn't work I bought the right stuff, the problem was there was no room for the ring when you puch in the lock to open the trunk, the filler wasn't a problem

The only way it could work if the ring is not mounted on the lock, fixed it to the filler instead, but I think it would look weird.

I hope you guys understand what I'm trying to say, if not let me know.

Ijust rean into this problem. I got my m5 filler for 20 bucks on top of my mtech rear bumper. I got the ring but the lock on the m is more angled towards the ground. I plan on honing out the hole and fixing it to the filler plate. This way when i push the lock in, the ring doesnt move.
