I'm shipping my car next week from Germany to WA state, since Tacoma BMW is her port of entry and about 10 day ahead before I arrive my question is the dealer trustworthy and customer oriented?

Northwest BMW in Fife has an excellent reputation for quality ...they are equally expensive as are the Seattle, Bellevue and Portland dealers.....NW BMW was chosen as the sole Mini Dealer in Washington which shows BMW is high on them....They were unfriendly to the point of rudeness when I tried to set up a stop at their showroom on one of our BMW Club runs...but their parts dept is well stocked...

They will give good sevice but it will cost $$$$$ (same as other BMW dealers in the NW)

Do you have a contact person at BMW Northwest yet? I bought my E30 there years ago and was very happy. More recently, when I went to the showroom I had a hard time getting any assistance without an appointment. However, I have had great luck with their internet department guy who always replies to e-mails promptly.

You can check this out. I am not too involved with them but I have been a member many years.

Puget Sound BMWCCA (http://www.bmwpugetsound.com/)

This is a group of us who get together once in a while and share info, tips, etc. (All E38s.)

Seattle7s (http://www.seattle7s.com/)

I suspect there are some local E46 M3 groups too, but I am not sure where to find them.

Welcome to the beautiful Pacific Northwest. The Puget Sound Chapter of BMW CCA has over 3000 members and is very active in both show and go. The 2003 activity calendar isn't posted to our website yet but I can assure you that there's events for everyone including you; Driving Schools at Pacific Raceway, Bremerton Raceway, Thunderhill and Laguna Seca for both novice and advanced drivers, Tech Sessions on detailing, auto body repair, track tech inspection and general maintenance, Tours to include rallys, Concours, Banquet, Video nights and much more. In 2002 we conducted over 39 events. We also publish a great monthly magazine called Zundfolge. As a BMW CCA member of the Puget Sound Chapter you'll receive both the national Roundel as well as the Zundfolge.
Hope to see you and your E46 M3 at one of our driving events. At our last driving school in October we had three E46 M3s, an S54 M Roadster and a S54 M Coupe. Come join the crowd :-)

JAY: It's a long drive from Grants Pass to Seattle, but we'd love to see you regardless of what flavor Bimmer you drive. I'll be passing through your town in June on my way to Thunderhill for our June 17th Driving School.

definitely into both show and go. There are at least 5 supercharged E36 cars that regularly go to the driving events. We have one of the fastest growing and respected clubs around and have the talented Instructors (Jim is one of them) to prove it. Come on down to the track and join in on the fun!

As Jim said, there are events for everyone - no matter what car you drive. Driving events, detail sessions, Concours, swap meets, driving events, video sessions at a local sports bar, you name it! Welcome to the NW.

Talk to Ron Hansen at BMW Northwest, he's the best! Sold me 2 cars.

I'm also a member of the BMW CCA in Seattle and on the Board of Directors. I'm the tour director...come have fun with us!!!
