what does an 11psi spring mean??

Tial BOV have springs in them rated of different psi's...usually you pick the spring according to your vaccum (hg) in your boost gauge while you are at idle (make sure engine is warm..)..i believe they come in 7psi, 9psi, 11psi, 12psi... if your engine at idle pulls for instance between 10-13hg vaccum then you want to use 7psi spring in your BOV, if it pulls 14-17hg then you would want 9psi spring, they go in incraments of 3hg at idle and 2 psi of spring pressure...so for instance, for every 3hg increase ( or infact decrease if looked at because it is a negative ( - ) value of vaccum ) after -10hg, you want to increase spring pressure with 2psi, assuming you started with 7psi spring...makes sense???
So then the 11psi spring in that BOV is rated for vaccum between 18-21hg at idle speed....
