All right guys, I need a little help. I just bought a 1981 320iS. It's a mess. I'm going to strip the good parts off it and put them on my 1983 320i.

What do I need to take off the "S" model? I know the Recaros, the 3-spoke wheel and the basketweaves. Is there anything else special about the "S" model that I would want to keep? I've heard stories about the dogleg 5-speed (did U.S. models have them?). Anything special about the engine or rear axle? Gauge cluster?
